Place: Shiraito Falls - also called the "Falls of White Thread" are formed by water collected from rainfall and melted snows of Mt. Fuji, transported by channels of solidified lava - Mount Fuji in the background. the falls are of great religious importance to the Shingon Buddhism school. The monks meditate by standing under the falling ice-cold water, without moving for hours.
