Description - The Badlands National Monument lies 60 miles east of Rapid City, wide highway lead visitors through a wonderland of spire and rain from the bed of aniland sea. The fossil remains of ancient creatures are found in abudance throughout the badlands. It was also an almost perfect hideout for early day bad men and stage robbers
