Fort St. Elmo, Malta

Description - The fortress stands on the low peninsula separating the two ports of Valletta, Marsamxett Harbour and the Grand Harbour, and has for centuries protected both of them; it is presently the seat of Malta's police academy, and preservs in its War Museum the George Cross awarded to Malta in April 1942 for the heroism of the Maltese population during WW2.
