Fort St.Elmo, Valletta, Island of Malta
Description - a view of Fort St Elmo, at the point of Valletta, where took place the Great Siege of Malta of 1565 when the Ottoman Empire invaded the island but was blocked by the Knights Hospitaller. At the time of the postcard Malta was a British colony administered by a governor.
