An island in the northern Adriatic, in the Bay of Kvarner (Quarnero) south of Rijeka, with a number of villages Nerezine (Neresine), Sveti Jakov (San Giacomo Lussignano), Cunski (Chiusi Lussignano), Artaturi (Artatore), Mali Losinj (Lussinpiccolo, Klein-Lötzing) and Veli Losinj (Lussingrande, Groß-Lötzing). The island is connected to the mainland by ferry and an airport.
