Images of Pula The largest city in Istria, in Italian Pola, was an ancient Roman colony and throughout the 19th until 1918 the headquarters of the Austrian Hungarian Navy. Then from 1918 to 1947 Pula was part of Italy, from 1947 to 1992 of Yugoslavia. One of the main landmarks in Pula is the Roman amphitheatre. page 1 - page 2
